When we were approached to create the website for the iconic Dippy the Dinosaur, we were excited beyond belief to be part of such a legendary project. 

Needing a fast turnaround as Dippy was already on his way to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum Coventry, we designed and developed the ‘Dippy in Coventry’ site using Shopify, creating an intuitive, appealing and accessible ticketing system for our customer.

Shopify development

The website has been built in Shopify, using a custom designed theme to match the brand requirements. We used a variety of plugins to create the functionality required – one of the features being the need to allow up to 60 tickets to be booked in fifteen minute intervals, with three different ticket types and the option to make a donation and gift aid, as well as purchase bundles.

On completion, customers receive an email confirmation of their order, with the date and time of the visit, and details of their purchase. Customers can also click the link in the email to make any changes to their booking with ease.

Why we chose Shopify

Shopify has an easy to use content management system (CMS), meaning that content amendments are seamless using the CMS. Shopify is also a great tool for website performance which is extremely important, as thousands of users have and are expected to visit the site to book tickets throughout the day. We were also able to completely customise the website design using frontend technologies to make the website on-brand, attractive and easy to use.
